The first report of Zombies was on what became known as Romero Day, January 19, 2023. Patient Zero was a homeless woman arrested by LAPD after displaying violent behavior.

Police took her to a hospital due to presumed dog bites. She soon developed unusual strength and broke her restraints. She bit one orderly shortly after admission at 1 pm. At 5 pm, the Governor of California declared a state of emergency.

Washington organized evacuations to Mexico, Hawaii, and other neighboring states after the National Guard sieged Los Angeles. Pets weren’t allowed to evacuate. It is unknown if the evacuation to Hawaii was successful, but on dry land, Zombies decimated all refugee camps within 30 days.

Except for military emergency radio systems, all types of communications ceased 45 days after the outbreak. Before that, relayed information called infected individuals Zombies or Deadheads, and described them as extremelly sluggish until they detected the presence of non infected individuals.

Then they became agitated and sought to feed on people. They are slow but relentless and can survive any organ damage, except in the brain. They have an excellent sense of smell but really terrible breath.
